Mr poppers penguins

The Room 13 Hawks are currently reading Mr. Poppers Penguins. Room 13 also have little books that we do activities in. We do all sorts of things for example.  

we drew a picture of anything that was related to the book.

Charlie and the chocolate factory

We have been reading Charlie and the chocolate factory.It's a very good book!

It is all about a poor boy called Charlie Bucket who lives with his family who can only afford  a very yucky dinner every day. But every year ,on his birthday Charlie would get one block of chocolate. Oh, how he loved when the sweet chocolate taste hits his tounge. It is like a giant burst of flavour that he wish he could have it every day. But he can't. Charlie would only nibble the slightest piece of the bar of chocolate oh how he wished he had more.

Nadia focuses hard on her reading even funny faces can't distract her.

Hamish enjoys his book in a serious manner.

Lachlan has his fill of reading.

Come on Lewis it's only a book it's nothing to be afraid of!!!!!!!!

How to eat fried worms

In Room13 we are doing novels for reading the Falcons are reading How To Eat Fried Worms it's about these two boys and one girl Billy, Tom and Alan. Tom and Alan dare Billy fifty dollars to eat fifteen worms one a day because there is an old man who lives down the road and is saleing a motorbike for fifty dollars but Tom and Alan don't wont to give Billy fifty dollars so they are trying to make him think eating worms is disgusting so they are putting yuck things on the worms. But billy is not giving up so he is thing that the worms are a yummy bit of fish. Then when Billy's dad finds out that billy is eating he gos sico and runs down the stars and yells out to Billy's mum BILLYS EATING WORMS she yells out to    

Billy get down here now but it was to late and she fainted then Billy came down the stars and said to his mum I don't like you then his mum fainted again and his dad says I am going to kill you but his dad just said go to your room 

And that's all we have read so far by Amy
